"Good morning. Aghh- today, have to go to that company and work." I read his text and smiled.
"Good morning. Well, all the best for today- and yes. Same. Have to go to the bank. huff" I texted back.
Soon, the text turned into a blue tick, and his reply came, "Thank you. And all the best to you, too."
"Thank you, ji."
"Ritika?"
"Hnji?
"Fit check milega?" My lips curled up as I read his text.
"Only if I get it in return from you."
"Jrur-"
After reading his text, I stood up from the bed and went to the vanity table, clicking the mirror photo- Lavender top and blue wide-leg jeans.
I opened his message and stared at his picture- white shirt and black jeans, his hair combed perfectly- he looked handsome.
"As always, handsome." I typed and then sent him my picture.
Soon his reply came, "I am jealous of people who work around you."
I smiled, aghh, this guy.
"Thirteen days more, advik."
"Aghh, I can't wait."
Before I could reply, I received a call from my best friend, "Ritika, come fast. There is an urgent meeting."
"Yeah, coming, Neha," I replied and declined the call.
"I will text you after. Now I have to go to the bank. There is an important meeting."
"Hnji, sure. I am also on my way to the company. and have a great day."
"You too, Mr. Bansal." I typed as I made my way outside my house.
As I reached the bank, Neha looked at me with wide eyes ."Ritika, go fast."
"Haan Haan, I'm coming." I rushed in, pushing the glass door open. Papers, files, customers complaining, and me running between counters. Every time I lifted my head to breathe, someone else called my name.
"Ritika, cheque verify kara do"
"System error agya-"
"Customer is calling you-"
By lunchtime, my shoulders were aching. I checked my phone and saw his message from an hour ago.
"Is your meeting taking so much time? You doing good?" I read the message and my heart warmed.
"Yeah, finally got time. I am exhausted- being a manager is hella tough."
His reply came within five minutes."Stay strong, my future wife."
"That I will. But what about my future husband? You good?"
"Kind of - the project is taking too much time. It's so exhausting."
"Ayee, take care of yourself and don't exhaust yourself too much. Had lunch?"
"Ji ji. And Nah, I will have it within 1 hour. What about you?"
"Send me a photo when you have your lunch. And yes, I had sandwiches."
"Sure, ma'am. Babe, can we talk at night, peacefully? My boss is calling."
My heart raced as I read the text- he called me babe, and I was blushing just because of that-
"Sure, and have lunch." I typed and put the phone aside. The smile stayed on my face.
"Huhh, Ab tu kyu blush kar rhi hai?" Neha's voice entered my ears.
I rolled my eyes, "Kuch bhi bolti hai kya?" I said as I picked up the file from the table.
Before I could defend myself, she snatched the file from my hand and whispered dramatically, "Tere cheeks dekh le fir bolio mujhe."
"Neha, stop it," I hissed, trying to hide my smile.
"Accha, fine. But yeh bata- kab mil rhi hai tera Advik ji se?" She teased, raising her brows.
"Shaadi ke din," I deadpanned.
"Badi kutti hai-"
"Thank you," I said as I showed her my tongue.
She rolled her eyes and went away as Mr. Malhotra called her.
The next few hours passed in chaotic loops-customers shouting about passbooks, printers refusing to work, and constant calls echoing across the hall. My feet hurt, my head hurt, and even my smile hurt. By the time the clock hit 6:30 PM, I felt like collapsing. I shut down my system and stretched, rubbing my stiff neck. As I stepped outside, the cool wind hit my face. I checked my phone.
"Had lunch." I opened the photo, and he was having Pasta.
I smiled, "Good boy."
"By the way, free ho gye? I just came out of the bank." I typed and made my way toward my house.

I stepped out of the bathroom and sat down on the bed, opening my phone.
"I am free now. Can I video call?" I read his text and video called him while shuffling my hair. In the third ring, he picked up the phone.
He was standing on the balcony of his room, and his hair, which was now a little messy , flew in the air- he was looking hot.
"Done checking out?" He smirked.
I rolled my eyes, "Well, if I am having this husband, then how can I not check out?"
And this time his cheeks reddened.
"Now who's blushing?"
He grinned and looked directly into my eyes, and butterflies erupted inside my stomach.
"Ritika, you make my heart race." He spoke, and something tingled inside me.
It was not only me- he too felt each emotion.
"I am melting for you."
He smiled, and a silence took over between us- not awkward but peaceful.
"So, how was the day?"
"It was sooo busyy. I am so tired. You know what? I rarely bathe at nigh,t but today I bathed as my whole body was aching." I yapped.
"Ayee, now you feel good?"
"Yep, now that I am talking to you, I feel best."
He looked down, and a smile played on his face.
Cute.
"Aap btaiye, apka kaisa gya?"
"It was tiring- you know I am making sure the project completed within this week."
He said as he rubbed his forehead.
"Don't take much stress. And let it be."
"Hnji, i am trying my best." I noodded and a yawn left my mouth- oh gosh i was tired.
"Neend aa rhi hai?" He asked.
"Yep, i am so tired."
"It's okay, take rest. Sleep well, babe."
"I love it when you call me babe." I smiled.
"I will keep that in my mind."
"So romantic, Mr. bansal."
"Only for you, Mrs. bansal." He winked, and my heart throbbed.
I blushed,"Good night, Mr. bansal."
"Good night, Mrs. Bansal."
And with that the day ended- with him and soon i drifted to sleep as i imagined my future with him
