It's been two days since our alliance was fixed. The marriage is in three weeks; then I will be married. My heart throbbed thinking of it. Of him. I will be Mrs. Bansal. The past two days have been hectic for both of us: him working on his projects, me handling customers.
"Kya soch rhi?" My sister's voice brought me out of my thoughts.
(What are you thinking?)
"Kuch nah. Bas yeh soch rhi chutti mil jaegi kya"
( Nothing much, I was thinking if I would get holidays.)
"Shaadi hai bhai chutti toh milegi."
(It's your wedding, of course, you will get leave.)
I smiled,"Ha vo toh hai. Vo sb chodh tere paper toh ni h nha?"
(Yes. Won't your paper be there?)
"Ni ji, bilkul ni."
(Nope, not at all.)
"Then good." She came to me, her hand dropped on my shoulder.
"You know, I am so excited. Too excited."
"Mee too," I whispered, my lips curling into a big smile.
"By the way, do you wanna know something?"
"What?"
"I guess we both will be married off at the same place." I frowned.
"How?" I asked before my brain could comprehend.
"Vihaan is Mr. sweetheart." I stared at her, eyes widening- and then a huge smile stretched across my face.
"Whoa!" I said, almost jumping.
"Hehe, aram se bolo! Mujhe keh rhi thi kisi ko pata na chale, khud itna chillaa rhi hai."
(Keep your voice down! You told me not to tell anyone, and now you're the one shouting.)
"Yeah, yeah. But oh god, I am so excited."
"Apki toh shaadi hone jane do. Mere wali k liye time hai."
(First, you get married, and for me, there is time.)
"Yeah, yeah."

"What were you doing?"
"Nothing, just had dinner. What about you?"
"Bas Vihaan and Riya ki bkwas sun kar aa rha hu."
(Just came back after listening to Vihaan and Riya's nonsense.)
"Kyu kya hua?"
(Why, what happened?)
"They were teasing me when you called." I laughed
"I guess we are both having the same situation. Rheya also doesn't shut up."
He chuckled softly on the other side, the sound making my chest feel warm.
"How was your day?"
"It was good."
"No one created the drama?"
"No one." I laughed, "What about you? How was your day?"
"We were working on the project. I hope it completes before our marriage."
Our marriage- that word did something to me, and my stomach filled with the unfamiliar warmth,
"Don't be too hard on yourself, Advik Ji."
"Now that Ritika ji said, I won't be. I gotta listen to my future wife."Butterflies erupted in my stomach, a smile never leaving my face.
"So sweet, Mr. Bansal."
He laughed quietly, "Only for Mrs. Bansal."
My cheeks heated up instantly, and he must have sensed it, because he added, "See, I can feel you smiling."
"You wish," I mumbled, trying to sound annoyed.
"Don't need to wish," he said, his voice turning gentle, "I just know."
I rolled my eyes, "So full of yourself."
"That I am."
"Hey, jiju!" My sister came out of nowhere, snatching my phone before I could respond. I turned around, getting annoyed, but she showed her tongue out, keeping the phone on the speaker.
"Hello, Rheya." He spoke while a chuckle left his sweet mouth. And my annoyance evaporated.
"How are you?"
"I am good, Jiju. What about you?"
"I am great."
"Meri bhen apko pareshan toh ni krti." I rolled my eyes, moving towards her on the bed.
(Doesn't my sister disturb you?)
"Nhi, bilkul ni." My lips curled up into a smile as I sat on my bed.
(No, not at all.)
"Dekha, main ni pareshan ni krti," I spoke in a proud tone.
(see, I don't disturb him)
"Suniye, Vihaan ko phone dena," I said as I snatched my phone from her hands. Now her cheeks are heating up, and her ears are reddening.
(Listen, pass the phone to Vihaan)
"Hnji, jrur." He said and called out for vihaan.
(Sure.)
"Ji, bhabhi?"
"Rheya, Pareshan to ni karti nah?" I spoke.
(Doesn't Rheya disturb you?)
"Bahut krti hai nah bhabhi." He spoke in a teasing tone.
(She disturbs a lot.)
"But, bahut pyaari hai." He added.
(But she is so adorable.)
"Awee." I awed and averted my gaze to my little sister, who was blushing, her hands on her face.
"Wait, why is she asking you about Rheya?" Advik ji's voice came, questioning Vihaan.
"Umm, vo she is my girlfriend," Vihaan spoke in a low tone.
"I was about to tell you."
"Oh, really? I don't think so." He spoke, and I could imagine him frowning.
"Arey, chodiye Advik ji. Rheya also told me today morning."
(leave that.)
"Aap khe rhi hai iseliye only." He spoke, making Rheya hit me, who was sitting hearing our conversation.
(only if you say so.)
'Jiju is such a flirt,' she whispered.
"Hnji." I smiled.
"Advik or vihaan khana kha lo." Mrs. Bansal's voice echoed from behind.
"Ji, ma." They both replied in unison.
"Okay, ji, eat your dinner," I spoke.
"Hnji. I will text you later."
"Hnji," I spoke and cut the phone.
"Oh, vapis bhi msg krenge? jiju pure pagl ho gye hai apke liye."she teased, poking me.
(Oh, he will message again? He is insane for you.)
I rolled my eyes and lightly hit her back. "So ja. Tujhe kal vapis college jana hai. Vo bhi himachal."
"Aghh, whyy. Can't I stay here until the wedding ends?" She cried out.
"Oh, I wish you could. But you know Dad won't agree."
"Yeah, yeah, but I will come one week before marriage."she said, snuggling under her blanket.
"Definitely, baby. Vaise, kal vihaan bhi jaega?"
(will vihaan also go?)
"Hn, hmari sath main hi ticket hai."
(Yes, he will go with me.)
"Shi planning karke baithe ho dono." she giggled, finally drifting to sleep, her small frame cozy under the blanket.
(Both have already planned everything.)
I watched her for a moment, a small smile tugging at my lips.
